My name is Mrs. Karen Richards.  I graduated from Millersville University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.  My Master’s Equivalency includes many courses in teaching math, reading and classroom management.  My teaching experience includes one year each, teaching kindergarten, remedial math and reading for grades 4-8, as well as 12 years in 3rd grade. Three of the 12 years have been here at our beloved Swain School.

In my leisure time, my husband, Scott, and our three children, Janelle (17), David (13), and Garrett (10), enjoy hiking in West Virginia, vacationing on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and running between sports activities and church events. We have been part of The Swain School community for the last 12 years and loving it! 

My name is Mrs. Kelly Fragin. I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I also have a M.Ed in Reading from West Chester University, with a reading specialist certification. I have taught first, third, and fifth grade for a total of ten years. This year will be my first at The Swain School.

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my two beautiful children, Samantha(kindergartner at Swain) and Joshua(preschooler at Swain) and my wonderful husband, Jason. We love our yearly summer vacations to Bethany Beach, Delaware and to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In the the Lehigh Valley, I enjoy attending all of my children's activities, running in the Lehigh Parkway, and spending time with my amazing friends! I am so excited to be teaching third grade at The Swain School!
