Learning Through Technology

Swain strives to stay at the forefront of school technology. By integrating our hardware and software resources with our curriculum, student have an opportunity for interactively learn both subject matter and technology skills. Students from kindergarten through 8th grade attend classes in the technology lab on a regular basis, as well as using technology resources in their classrooms.

Our technological goal at Swain is to fully integrate technology with curriculum. To this end, classroom teachers work closely with the technology department to explore ever changing ways of using computers and other A/V devices to reinforce classroom learning.

Middle School Computer Lab

Students have access to computers in the technology lab, the Middle School computer lab, the library, and classrooms. In addition, they may use digitals cameras, video cameras, and SMARTBoards. With computer resources so readily available, technology seamlessly becomes a resource for learning at all levels.
